My name is Eric Bertram, founder and president of Freedom Coast Contractors. As a combat veteran of the United States Army, my time in service shaped the values and work ethic that I carry with me every single day. The Army taught me discipline, accountability, leadership, teamwork, communication, and the importance of paying attention to even the smallest details. Those lessons didn’t stay behind when I left the military — they became the foundation for how I operate both personally and professionally.
After completing my military service, I transitioned into the construction industry, where I have spent the past six years managing projects and working hands-on in the field. During that time, I gained experience in all aspects of construction, from planning and project management to the physical labor and craftsmanship that goes into every job. Working in construction taught me the value of doing things the right way the first time, maintaining high standards, and always standing behind the quality of my work.
That experience ultimately led me to create Freedom Coast Contractors — a company built on trust, reliability, hard work, and pride in craftsmanship. I founded this company with the goal of bringing military-level professionalism and commitment into the construction industry.
